A 17 x 17 inch fine Irish linen corded handkerchief inspired by the style carried by T.J. Stonewall Jackson in 1863.
A fine linen handkerchief inspired by the corded handkerchief carried by T.J. “Stonewall” Jackson in 1863.
When Jackson was wounded in May 1863, his handkerchief was reportedly used to help stop the flow of blood from the wound. The original was a fine linen, corded handkerchief measuring approximately 17 x 17 inches.
This reproduction is made from 100% fine Irish linen and corded on all borders, closely matching the type and appearance of a gentleman’s handkerchief from the period. It is woven in Ireland by a handkerchief weaver whose business began in 1854.
