A 21 x 19 inch cotton reproduction based on a handkerchief associated with Joseph Arnold of the 1st and 26th Wisconsin Infantry.
A Civil War reproduction handkerchief based on an original artifact in the collection of the Oshkosh Public Museum.
The handkerchief is associated with Joseph Arnold, who served in the 1st Wisconsin Infantry and later the 26th Wisconsin Infantry. Arnold participated in major campaigns and battles including Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and the March to the Sea.
This reproduction was created with permission from the Oshkosh Public Museum, with a portion of proceeds supporting the museum. The heavier cotton cloth and restored colors were selected to reflect the original handkerchief as it may have appeared in the 1860s.
