Every good militia or other 18th century military impreesion needs a place to store personal items, extra clothing, and sleeping gear. Made from our high quality heavy weight linen (same as our in stock 18th century trousers), this is a faithful reproduction in the style of the Uhl knapsack. The original knapsack was used by Captain David Uhl, who was a member of the Dutches County, New York Militia and used the pack during his service in 1776.
The knapsack measures approximately 18 x 19 inches and is completey hand sewn, featuring three pewter buttons for closure and two chest tie strips also made from linen. Currently in stock for immediate shipment.
