This cup is made after an original attributed to an unknown Union Army officer. Made of hot dipped tin in the USA. This tin is hot dipped coat, reminiscent of the hot dipped tin that used to be offered by Wisconsin Veterans Museum. A great size cup, 4 inches wide and 3 inches tall. Will hold up to use in the fire, sturdily built cup!
It doesn't get any better than this. Hot dip tin plating gives this cup the finish of authenticity.
Having been elected to the position of First Lieutenant, I was looking for a cup that would represent a private-purchase cup that was a little different than the standard issue cup. I found it at South Union Mills in the Officer's Cup. I look forward to using it and to have it out on display in camp for public viewing. It is well-made and different enough to stand out from the rest.
I am well pleased with my officer tin cup. I must admit it is a little bigger then I envisioned measuring in at 3-inches tall and 4-inches tall. That doesn't sound big, but it appears so. I can't wait to try it out and it will hold more coffee than expected!
