Double Breasted Civilian Frock Coat

This was my first frock coat I ordered from SUM and I am very pleased with everything. I took it in Butternut with black tape binding and brass coin buttons, really good quality materials and craftmansship. The fit is not as snug compared to the single breasted frock coat. In the upper area it is a little bit roomier, perfect for cold days if you need to wear an undershirt with a thicker shirt and your vest, really good for layering. All in all super quality made with nice details and authenticity for an awesome price. If you need help with the sizing, make sure to contact Chris. Thanks again.

I've just gotten my frock coat, and I am very happy with it. The cut is very nice, and preserves the classic style. The summer fabric I requested is nice and lightweight, and has served me well so far.

I love this frock coat! Definitely worth the (very affordable) price. I got mine just as the product is pictured, grey/brown jean wool with black trim and wooden buttons. I love double breasted everything really wanted a db frock for my early war/cs impression but you don't see too many db civilian frocks on the market. Got in contact with Chris and he was very helpful in my purchase (making sure I ordered the right size, etc). Only thing i'd like additional is an internal button inside the db but thats something I can add very easily if I really want to. Overall great coat, I highly recommend!

I bought this coat as an upgrade to what I already have. My old one was nice and all that but in the authenticity department, it was somewhat lacking. This new coat was correct right out of the box. I'm sorry that I didn't get it straight away. While there are other frocks out there that have different bells and whistles, they cost an arm and two legs. This new one would be an excellent affordable option for anyone new to the hobby and seeking their first good coat. And for those who have been around for awhile, it's still a fine coat. My only suggestion would be to offer the option to buy spare buttons.
