In the tradition of our high quality "Excelsior" clothing line, we are now introducing our first in the "Excelsior" line of footwear. Our men's Excelsior brogan is made from top grain leather and is COMPLETELY hand sewn and the soles are constructed of sturdy sole leather and are completely hand pegged. These are made one pair at a time by an expert leather craftsman. The profile of this shoe is "dead on" originals we have seen, and is unsurpassed in the hobby. These shoes are suitable for mid-19th century civilian and military wear, and will serve your needs for a variety of impressions. Well made, sturdy, and look like originals...can't go wrong! They are available in black leather or in natural rough out leather finish. If you order natural rough out, we can coat in a beeswax coating before shipping, if you desire. This will darken the appearance to a darker brown and give them some protection against wet conditions. Please indicate in the customer comments if you would like this coating applied.
