A classic mid-19th century men's shirt that is cut in the style of the period and made from custom woven cotton cloth, made exclusively for South Union Mills from a mid-19th century French salesman's cloth sample book that is in our personal collection.
The shirt features a three button closure in the front, under arm gussetts and full shoulders. The shirt is not lined and features two chest pockets and hand sewn button holes, held closed with bone buttons. A very nice and well made shirt that is deserving of our "Excelsior" name and is made from custom woven cloth that matches the original example.
Not available anywhere else and a product of our intentional search for further development of unique material culture items of the mid-19th century.
