We are excited to be offering this early 19th century tail coat. Our reproduction is made from your choice of cloth (wool or cotton) with a cotton lining and features hand sewn button holes and your choice of buttons. Our reproduction also features a quilted under collar, narrow cut period sleeves with buttons on the cuff, and exterior pocket flaps on the waist hem. The tails on our coat are split. This is a great coat for a variety of early 19th century impressions! PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR DESIRED SLEEVE MEASUREMENT FROM CENTER OF THE BACK IN THE CUSTOMER COMMENTS.
PLEASE NOTE - this garment is patterned from originals, and is not a long (in the body) coat front that will fit over improperly or inaccurately made trousers or drop as far down on the body as inaccurately made vests. We cannot take returns for garments that fit historically accurately but do not fit like clothing that was inaccurately made, but you might "like" the fit of. We are not trying to be difficult, but our garments are made to fit in a historically accurate manner, not the manner of some companies who make historically "inspired" clothing that fits more like modern clothing. Thank you for your understanding.
