    These are good contract brogans. They're slight shoes, like many originals. Get two pairs if you can.

    Excellent Brogans: Part One

    I received my SUM brogans yesterday and I am well pleased. They have the "look" of a Civil War brogan and appear to be well made. The only thing I can not comment on yet is how well they stand up with constant use in the field. I am an interpretive park ranger so they will be put through their paces with use beyond an average reenactor. Part Two will tell you how well they held up.
