Excelsior Line 18th Century Men's Linen Trousers

(1 review) Write a Review
Linen trousers

Trousers were often worn in the 18th century by farmers, workmen, and for military and militia use.  Our trousers have the features common of mid-late 18th century trousers in that they have a full seat, adjustable eyelets at the rear waist, and the common fall front.  What sets our trousers apart from other vendors are the high quality of medium/heavy linen used and our trousers also feature handsewn button holes, handsewn finishing, and pewter buttons. These trousers are part of our new "Excelsior" clothing line, and are available on an in stock basis.  If you see your size listed and you are able to add the item to your cart, then the item is in stock and will ship within the in stock shipping time table.

    Excelsior linen trousers

Posted by Andrew Batten on 18th Oct 2022

Needed a pair of 18th century trousers for a Royal Navy impression. Not having time to order a custom made pair, I was thrilled to see these as a new offering from SUM. I had them in hand in just a few days, so plenty of time to give them a quick wash to get the stiffness out. Very sturdy cloth, hand finished button holes and looks like good construction. Best of all--in time!
