18th Century Dutch Caps

Product Description

Our "Dutch Cap" reproductions are styled after the caps that are housed in the Rijksumuseum from the Spitsbergen/Smeerenburg collection.  Our reproductions are made in similar colors to originals or can be customized to a color of your choice.  Hand knit from 100% wool yarns that are woven and dyed by the same family factory that has been in operation since 1857.  The caps are knit by our North American knitters who are keeping alive the traditions and skills handed down to them by their predecessors.

Available styles are:

Style B - Dark brown with natural and black stripes

Style C - Solid color body with contrasing band around the base of the hat.  A stripe the same color as the body is within the contrasting band

Style D - Solid color body with 2 contrasting stripes around the base band

Style E - Solid color body of the hat with contrasting "squares" design around the base band of the hat

I just received my "Dutch Cap" and it feels great! The weight of the wool is awesome for the cold winter breezes near Savannah. I love the color pattern too, thanks Chris!!!
