Product Description

We are exicted to offer our first Army of Tennessee carried handkerchief!!

This handkerchief was carried by W.C. Wyatt of Alabama while he was in the Gid Nelson Light Artillery.  He was wounded during the battles around Atlanta and unfit for service following the wound, which resulted in loss of one of his legs.

This handkerchief is a gem, it measures 31 x 25 inches, so it is our largest available!  Made from 100% cotton.  We had the prototype of this handkerchief at the Middle Tennessee Civil War show in December and it was a customer favorite and received many many compliments!

This handkerchief is expected to ship to your door on February 8, 2015....so don't delay.

Original is in the collection of the Museum of the Confederacy and we appreciate their help in providing information, photos, and details for this reproduction.

I love the hankerchief, but wish the pattern would come through darker on the underside, instead of just one side.

  2. This Hankerchief is Awesome 5 Star Review

I love having a bandanna that has a real historic provenance. It will be a great tool for talking about history. I also like to carry it in my back pocket every day. Its really very functional.

  3. Nice Repro! Proud to Have It & Show to My Pards! 4 Star Review

Posted by on 5th May 2015

Shipping was VERY prompt! I had it in time to proudly show off to all of my Pards at our first reenactment of the year! It is very large, which is one reason that I ordered it (besides wanting an AoT item!) Before I used it, I washed it in cold water and hung it up to dry, as per the instructions that came with it. I then used it for our reenactment, then machine washed it with no problems. The only thing that I wish about it is that it were printed on both sides, instead of just one (the reverse side shows the color/patterns, but it looks faded).
I am happy to see a business make authentic handkerchiefs!
All in all, I am happy with it!

Size is big enough to be worn as a scarf. Excellent historical print. Colors are right for the period.

  7. Big and Beautiful 5 Star Review

This handkerchief is huge, colorful, and so pretty that I'm reluctant to take it to the field for fear of ruining it.

  8. Big Red 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Mar 2015

Received the WC Wyatt kerchief the other day, which arrived promptly with my new Lt Sedman kerchief. This is a very large, brilliantly colored kerchief, which begs to be used in living histories, taken to work or just being on display somewhere. Outstanding feel, right out of the box.
I have not seen anyone else with a kerchief remotely like this one at any event and look forward to breaking mine out.

  9. AOT Handkerchief 5 Star Review

Great reproduction. I'm so glad someone is making these. Now there is no excuse for those modern day red and blue things. Its BIG too. Great for a sneeze, wiping away sweat, and making a bandage or tourniquet. I have three SUM repro handkerchiefs and I think this is my favorite.

With every new article Chris brings to light, it only helps us, the historians to show a more complete and personal side to the soldiers of the Civil War. Beautiful handkerchiefs!
