Product Description

Great example of a mass produced tin cup of the mid-19th century.  This cup is made from the specifications of one of the tin cups found on board the USS Cairo when it was salvaged.  The cup is made from HOT DIPPED tin and is an example of a mass produced cup from the mid-19th century.  The cup is slightly tapered from bottom to top, although that is hard to discern from the photograph.  As does the original, the reproduction measures 3 15/16" tall, top diameter 4 1/8", and bottom diameter 4 5/8".  The original can be seen in The U.S.S. Cairo, History and Artifacts of a Civil War Gunboat, by Elizabeth H. Joyner.  Made in USA.
