This reproduction homespun blanket saw use by a South Carolina Confederate solider and the original is in the collection of he American Civil War Museum (formerly the MoC). This reproduction is authentic in every detail, and features proper return selvedge and is woven on a period loom by Family Heirloom Weavers. The blankets measure 86 inches long and are 66 inches wide and weigh approximately 3.5 pounds. They are made of 100% American wool and are gray with a dark brown stripe on each end (please see pictures). These are the same blankets that were recently advertised by the Liberty Rifles (thanks to Craig for the use of his photo) and we are pleased to be able to offer them to the general living history community. These blankets come finished.
