  1. Great product, delivery was an issue 5 Star Review

These stockings are amazing, and I would strongly recommend them to anybody who wants durable, correct period stockings. The only issue I had was an incredible waiting period of 7 months after being told the order would be 6-8 weeks. If you have the time, these are worth the wait.

  2. Rev War stockings have to look correct...and they do 5 Star Review

Ordered the natural color 2-ply. stockings...my impression requires the stockings to be seen, so these meet the decerning eye test.

While I do have another pair of wool stockings, these are a bit more comfortable with the foot fit in the shoe and look great with the seam

  3. Perfect! 5 Star Review

Very pleased with my recent purchase of the size small 18th c hand-knit, 2-ply stocking. Not only is the wool wonderful, the workmanship is beautiful and ... best of all ... they fit my size 7.5 ladies' foot like they were custom made for me! Can't wait to order a single-ply pair as well. :)

  4. Worth the money! 5 Star Review

I volunteer as a soldier in one of the national parks' Revolutionary War forts and when I wanted to update my apparel for better accuracy, I ordered two pairs of these. They came in the mail today and no doubt, they are great stockings. They are plenty big enough to fit me without being overly bulky. I've had such a problem with other stockings being too tight and I'm not even a particularly large person. So, Tricorn's off to the the knitters at South Union Mills!

  7. One word for these stockings, "WOW"! 5 Star Review

My hat's off to Mr. Utley and the knitters of South Union Mills. Good hand knit stockings and socks are hard to find at any price and make no mistake, these are GOOD hand knit stockings. My wife is a knitter and weaver so I know the time and effort that goes into making an item like this. When I saw the price I said, "no way" and ordered them immediately. The finished product arrvied three days later (!) and did not disapoint. Having actually handled an original early 19th century stocking I can vouche for the fact that these are correct in every way. Great product, great price, what more can you ask for. Thanks again to S.U.M.
